CULLEN SKINK - £9.25 Homemade traditional Scottish soup with smoked haddock, diced potatoes, leeks and cream, served with brown bloomer bread. (Gluten free bread available)

GOATS CHEESE & CARAMELISED RED ONION TART -£7.75 Caramelised red onion and grilled goats cheese in a short pastry case with mixed leaves and a balsamic glaze.

CRAB CAKES – £7.75 crab meat, mustard, cayenne and coriander, coated in bread crumbs, deep fried and served with salad leaves and a sweet chilli sauce

HAGGIS PAKORAS - £7.75 Served with salad leaves and tikka mayonnaise.

ARBROATH HADDOCK – 16.95  Fresh from A. Spink Fishmongers (Arbroath) your choice of breaded or battered haddock. available with G.F. batter.

SEAFOOD DUO - £16.95  Half battered haddock and half breaded whole tail scampi.

BREADED WHOLE TAIL SCAMPI- £16.25  Whole tail Scottish scampi coated in breadcrumbs.

All above served with a choice of garden peas or mixed salad, lemon, homemade tartare sauce and fries

 

MAINS

 

VENISON SHEPHERDS PIE - £17.25  Minced venison in an onion, rosemary, garlic and red wine sauce, topped with mash and served with veg.

BEEF LASAGNE - £15.75  minced Scottish beef in a red wine ragu, and layers of sheet pasta in a creamy cheese sauce topped with mozzarella and cheddar cheese, with salad and chunky chips.

STEAK AND ALE PIE - £16.50  Homemade steak pie cooked in a cask ale gravy, topped with flaky pastry and served with today’s veg and chunky chips.

KING PRAWN SALAD -£16.55  King prawns with a Marie Rose sauce, coleslaw, potato salad, mixed salad and chunky chips.

SMOKED HADDOCK & SPRING ONION FISHCAKES -£15.25 G.F. with a cheddar cheese centre, served with a mixed salad, coleslaw and fries.

SMOKED ARBROATH HADDOCK - £17.95 G.F. Filled with spinach and prawns and set in a chive and capsicum cream sauce, served with mash and today’s veg.

MACARONI CHEESE- £14.95 GF available. Served with salad leaves and chunky chips.

SHIP INN FISH PIE - £17.95  Salmon, tiger king prawns & smoked haddock with peas in a white wine sauce topped with mash & melted cheddar cheese, served with peas and carrots.

CHICKEN KEBABS- £16.25 Individual marinated and seasoned chicken breast skewers, lightly grilled. Served with a mixed dressed salad, Pitta bread and chunky chips.

VEGETABLE AND LENTIL PIE –£15.25 G.F.  Puy lentils and mixed veg. in a tomato and Thyme sauce, topped with cheesy potatoes and served with today’s veg.

MEXICAN STYLE SALMON FILLET – £18.75  Marinaded in fajita spices, pan fried with peppers and onions, with Mexican fiesta rice, sour cream and guacamole.
