The Waterfront Restaurant as the name suggests enjoys uninterrupted views of the river from its full width picture windows, and as befits a working river there is always some activity to watch, be it an oil rig or cruise ship making its way majestically up to the harbour or if you are lucky enough, you may spot the school of dolphins which frequent the estuary from May to September. On occasions up to 25 of them have been seen frolicking no more than 100 meters from the shore.

The restaurant itself was designed to resemble the below deck area of a sailing ship and a number of features from Captain Scott's RRS Discovery have been adapted to suit. Heavy timber planking to the walls and ceilings resembles the hull and deck underside while the use of heavy gauge brass corner angles add to the maritime look.

Up to 36 diners can be accommodated at one time however the seating and table arrangements are flexible so that large groups can be catered for.

Whenever possible produce is locally sourced and delivered daily, whilst all food is cooked to order. The menu is changed every 2 weeks, however there are normally a number of daily specials also.
